Kelly the Coed — Part 13: Pi Pi Girls Rule appears to be made out of leftovers that weren’t included in Sindee the Campus Slut put together to make another entry. If not, then something must have occurred between shooting and post production. Noname Jane appears for a second time as Kelly the Coed, this time a sophomore (director Jim Powers inexplicably made her freshman again in the last entry) . However, Aurora Snow does Kelly’s narration for the movie, indicating that Noname Jane was no longer connected with the project by the time it made it to post-production.
The movie uses almost all of the same hastily put together and dressed sets that Sindee the Campus Slut did. All but one of them painted the same brown paint. The Delta fraternity house with “ΔΔ Fraternity” crudely painted on the wall. The seams are often visible. The only set that is new for this one is the advising office, which oddly is dressed with the massive desk, a pay phone, and water bubbler. Whose bright idea it was that an advising office would have a pay phone in it — yes this movie was made in the days when pay phones were still a thing — and water bubbler I don’t know, but I am suspecting they are rather unaware of offices or somehow thought putting those items in the office made it seem collegiate for some reason.
In previous entries I have commented on how the story for the movie doesn’t really meet the criteria for a feature movie and seemed more to be a poorly done vignette movie. Here even using the vignette movie genre classification seems like it may be a stretch. There isn’t any over arching plot for the movie, nor is there anything that was really discernible as a plot at all. The set-ups are bad and not very well developed at all. The lines are bad and the material in the narration is often repeated in the scene set-up dialog making for little use of the narration at all.
There is no connective tissue between the scenes at all. After the end of the sex scene there is some narration to bridge the gap, then the brief set-up for the next scene quickly followed by the sex starting. Some of the dialog appears to have been made up on the spot, or at least I hope it was and no one actually scripted out the seemingly poorly improvised portions.
The acting is bad and the sex scenes are just okay. There is cheesy porno music over each scene at a volume louder than the participants. There are oddities to the scenes, like in Noname Jane’s first scene with T.J. Cummings and Mr. Pete, she keeps making weird faces during the opening blow job. I’m not sure if this is an attempt to be humorous that misfired. It is after one the dialog segments that appeared to be improvised. Add to the mix that the technical aspects are lacking. The movie is filled with poor framing, actors and actresses that are overlit at times, and the flash going off from the still camera during shooting. The outdoor footage was shot at a college campus. A small portion of this footage has dialog, the rest is just Noname Jane walking around with the narration later added over it.
